Updating Username to email instead of JIRA generated ID

Hello everyone,

Any new users (either by manually creating or automatically when they open tickets) have system generated username as seen this screenshot below:

Is there any way of updating it after users are created? This random username is creating havok on exporting my report (exporting Issues Search) as reporter column shows the random ID instead of a meaningful name.

HI Jinwoo,

Unfortunately, it's not possible to change customer's username.

However, there is a feature request opened for this to be implemented.

I recommend you to add yourself as a watcher and vote for the request. Besides that, you can leave comments there, helping the developers to know your needs.

Considering the fact that there is no estimated time or decision for this feature to be implemented, adding yourself will ensure you're proactively informed of progress and updates going forward in accordance to our Implementation of New Features Policy.
