Hi Jacqueline,
For unlocking the fields you can refer to the Jira's KB https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-unlock-a-locked-field-779158866.html, if it is a blocker for you.
Zephyr will allow traceability for Epic as well, please ensure atleast a test is linked to that Epic. Here the link is the Jira's issue link. If you still face the issue we are happy to assist you on this issue through our support ticketing system https://support.getzephyr.com/hc/en-us
Regards,
Zephyr Support.
Remember that they are on Cloud, so they can't unlock fields. And they wouldn't want to anyway.

Do not do it! Hacking JIRA constrains may cause unpredictable errors.

There's a reason the field is locked, mostly about preventing misconfiguration. Could you explain why you want to unlock it?

It is necessary to maintain and then draw for reporting, traceability

I'm sorry, that makes no sense. Maintain what? Draw?
For reporting and traceability, the field has data in it, if your users have populated it. You don't need to unlock it to use it.

Ok. Thansk for your comments.

I'm not that familiar with Zephyr, I've not seen that error except for when indexing (Zephyr and JIRA) was needed, although I saw more of an error message.
Try reindexing both, and try again. If that fails, the next step is to start reading the logs.

I tried indexing as you mentioned, but the error persists.

Ok, that's eliminated some possibilities. What does the log say?

Ah, on Cloud, you need to raise this with Atlassian support on https://support.atlassian.com - I don't know what Zephyr is doing, and they have access to logs that you and I do not.
