Resubscribe a ticket reporter who accidentally turned off notifications

The ticket reporter accidentally turned off notifications for a ticket. We cannot find a way to turn the notifications back on. Adding them as a watcher of the ticket did not help.

In JSD users have only one role, Service Desk Customers. Once they click that link in an email to remove the notifications from that ticket, there seems to be no way to add them back, not for us, and not for them...

check the notification scheme for the event in question. project > project settings > notifications. Check what roles receive the notification and ensure the user exists in one of those roles.
