User for reporting purposes

We're trying to setup a wallboard like reporting dashboard. Hence we want an overview over different projects (Service Desk and Dev) I've created a reporting user and assigned it to both projects.

Is it true, that it pulls a licence for Jira Software and one for Jira Service-Desk, too? Or is there any other way to have a dashboard with a reporting (read only) user to display the dashboard?

Hello,

You do not need a Jira Software or Jira SD license for a user, who only reads data. All you need is to grant a Jira Core license (or JSW or JSD license) and provide Browse Projects permission to the required projects.
