In next gen, how do I create an Automation that will add an issue to an epic when it is created

Deleted user May 13, 2019

I'm trying to create an Automation rule that will add an issue to a certain epic when it is created.  I've added a "Edit issue fields" component to my rule, and selected "Epic link" from the "Choose fields to set".  I've tried entering the Epic id (REPN-139) directly, or the "create new" option, but neither work.  Both give me an error saying that REPN-139 isn't of type Epic, but it is.  Any idea what I might be doing wrong here?  How should I configure this rule so that it does put the new issue into the REPN-139 epic?

Here's a screenshot of what the drop down shows when I type in REPN-139 - I've tried both options to no avail:

Here's the error I see in the Audit log:

Hello Joan,

This is unexpected.

In order for us to help you better with this case, you'd like to open a support ticket in our portal: (https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1/group/1/create/3).

Please remember of attaching some screenshots how you've configured your rule.

Cheers,
