Populate a Jira field with the response to an 'Other' text field (Choice question)

We use a ProForma form that has a choice question with an 'Other' option. Is there a way to store the written response to the "Other" option? Can I link this written response to another Jira field?

At the moment you cannot directly link the the other text field in a Choice question to a specific Jira field; however, there is  a quick work around, which achieves the same thing.

If you don't use the inbuilt 'Other' option in a ProForma choice question, but rather added it is as standard choice, you could then use conditional logic to display a text field which could be linked to a Jira field (learn how). Below shows how you could setup your conditional section.

You could make 'Other Details' question required, so that if they select Other as the choice they are required to provide further details. The 'Other Details' can then be linked to the required Jira field.
