  • Atlassian's Ecosystem: Sessions highlighted the power of tools like Jira, Atlassian Automation, Confluence, and the Cloud Platform to build agile, scalable workflows and centralize knowledge. The integration of Atlassian Intelligence and Rovo AI was presented as a way to incorporate AI as a true team companion.

Leading with Purpose: Building High-Performing Teams

The event concluded with a powerful closing keynote on leadership by celebrated basketball coach Ruben Magnano. His talk provided valuable reflections for anyone working in a team. Key messages included the idea of a leader as a "facilitator of success" and his powerful metaphor, "The team is our temple." He emphasized that in an era of increasing automation and AI, the leader's most critical role is to foster cohesion, trust, and fairness. Magnano's core idea resonated deeply: "Talent is useful only when it is placed at the service of the team."

That was a truly inspiring story

But let me tell you, the absolute highlight of the day wasn't a piece of software or a new AI trick. It was a person.

Get this: we were all deep into the tech talks when we noticed an 80-year-old gentleman in the audience, attending with his granddaughter. Yeah, you read that right—eighty! He wasn't just there for the free coffee, either; he was genuinely into it.

I had the chance to greet him personally, and his energy was just incredible. He was so inspiring, with this amazing open mind, proving that you're never too old to learn new things (or at least try to figure out what all these acronyms mean).

I asked for his name, and I'll never forget it: Don Miguel Gomez.
