Alert de-duplication using alias - how does it work across different integrations towards OpsGenie?

We have multiple API and email integrations towards OpsGenie and have a question if the alias need to be globally unique across integrations or just for the integration. Please clarify.

@Anders.Bergenholtz hi there,

It needs to be unique globally. Anytime an alert is being made in Opsgenie it will do a check for an Open alert with the same alias, if there is one present it will de-duplicate
