Can't get tech support "Doesn't look like an Atlassian Cloud URL"

Moses Moore March 21, 2025

I was hoping to get help with OpsGenie API part where the example in the documentation returns "not supported" error messages.  When I ask for support the form says I must provide the URL for the service I use.  So, copy-paste.  I get "This doesn't look like an Atlassian Cloud URL" and "see instructions below on how to find your URL."

It **is** the URL, I copy-pasted.  And the "instructions below" is a blank space of white about 800 pixels tall.

I don't know how to ask for help with the broken "ask for help" service, and my only other option is to ask 'the community'.  So, hello.

Hi @Moses Moore,

Greetings! Thank you for reaching out!

The form is looking for your Atlassian site URL which is usually with the format "<yourAtlassianSiteName>.atlassian.net".  This would be the URL of the backend Atlassian cloud site that your Opsgenie instance is linked to.

If you are a Site Admin, you would be able to see this URL if you login to admin.atlassian.com.

If you are not sure, you can try this URL format:  <yourAtlassianSiteName>.atlassian-app.opsgenie.com

If it redirects correctly to your Opsgenie URL, then you know you got the correct Atlassian SiteName so you would enter this format as your URL (without the angle brackets): <yourAtlassianSiteName>.atlassian.net

Hope the above helps!

Kind Regard,
Wei
