The Unified Workflow (4/5): Give Sales Real-Time Insight into Jira Issues from HubSpot

Our "Unified Workflow" journey is almost complete. Let's see how far we've come:

The technical teams are perfectly aligned. But what about the people managing the customer relationship? Are they aware of all this progress, or are they out of the loop?

Meet Kate, a Sales Manager. She's about to have a crucial renewal call with her client, Appsvio. She knows they've been active, reporting both a feature idea and a critical bug. But what's the status? Are the issues resolved? Asking the dev team for a status update right before a call is inefficient and looks unprofessional.

The solution is to bring the single source of truth for development work (Jira) into the single source of truth for customer relationships (HubSpot). With HubSpot CRM Integration for Jira, this visibility is automatic.

Step 1: The Other Teams Do the Linking

When Kate opens the Appsvio company record in HubSpot, she sees a new card on the right-hand side: "Jira Work Items". This card displays a live list of every issue linked to the company. She can instantly see:

  • The feature request (ITA-3) has a status of In Progress.

  • The critical bug (ITA-1) has a status of Done.
