Dear Community,
I faced an interesting behaviour. I use an on premise Jira and Confluence installation. The customer portal from Jira is connected to a knowledgebase in Confluence. The customer portal is restricted and not open for all.
I created a test who hasn´t access to this customer portal but if I log in to Confluence with this user, I can reach the customer related knowledgebase. This user is not even in the related group to access this page.
Would it be possible, that each Confluence user has automatically access to an knowledgebase?
Best,
Kristian
Hi Kristian,
Can you show us the permissions in Confluence for the particular page and space? Does the user have a Confluence license as well? What groups are they in and how are you restricting them from the page in Confluence?
Secondly, which permissions did you select in JSD for the space? From this article:

Hi Shannon,
Thanks for the links and hints. Well I think I now whats the problem. We have an Jira SD which is restricted but to save Confluence licenses, the connected the relevant Confluence KB as open for all.
Seems I have two options.
Option 1: Change restriction for Confluence too which will consum licenses.
Option 2: Leave it like it is and open the Confluence space for all Confluence users.
Because the Jira SD users dont need Conlfuence access in general, its for KB only.
Best,
Kristian
