Hi Atlassian Community! 👋
We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve built a new integration with Workday!
Now you can manage HR workflows, like employee onboarding and queries, without leaving Jira Service Management. This new Workday integration can now be accessed directly from the virtual service agent & Jira Automation.
Before you can connect to Workday steps and actions for the first time, Premium and Enterprise Jira Service Management Cloud customers will need to create a connection with Workday as explained in the options below.

You can now connect and take actions in Workday right from your conversation flows! With the new Workday integration, the virtual service agent can now resolve requests around leave applications all directly within the conversation! Imagine a world where help seekers can effortlessly check their leave balances and apply for time off without needing human agent intervention. Read how to use Workday in your conversation flows.
What’s new
Help seekers can now get their leave balances and apply for time off in a conversation with the virtual service agent.
The Workday Integration can be used to streamline onboarding and enable seamless processes for HR teams and employees alike. You can choose to create an automation rule with a Workday trigger or action (or both). When used together, the Workday trigger and action will give you access to over 35 worker fields including key information such as employee name, role, location and manager! Visit our documentation for more details on how to setup and get the most out of these components.
Worker added to Workday Trigger
The Worker added to Workday trigger runs when a new worker has been added in your Workday instance. This can be useful for initiating an onboarding process for new hires by triggering workflows, sending welcome emails, and collaborating with other teams.
Retrieve worker details from Workday Action
The Retrieve worker details from Workday action allows you to retrieve certain details about an employee from Workday to use in your Jira project. This can be useful for streamlining your onboarding process and gathering employee details when resolving a query.
