Hey everyone,
I'm looking to get the ITSM with Jira Service Management Foundations (associate) cert.
I believe I'm getting the hang of the Atlassian Learning catalogue. When navigating to the specific ITSM JSM certificate, it led me to the "Adopt ITSM practices to deliver exceptional service" Learning Path. So I completed that.
At the same time, it guided me to the "ITSM with Jira Service Management Foundations certification prep resources" course. So I completed that.
And then I don't remember how it happened, but I ended up at the "Get the most out of Jira Service Management" Learning Path. So I completed that.
And I also hold an ITILv4 Foundation from a couple years ago but haven't been able to actively implement/execute on it for the last year-ish ( unemployment :( ).
Am I likely good to go for the "ITSM with Jira Service Management Foundations" exam? This process has been a radically different experience than learning and getting the Azure Fundamentals and AWS Cloud Practitioner recently.
Because now that I've gotten the hang of the Atlassian Learning Catalogue, and learned how to sort by both product AND difficulty (lol), I see these other learning paths in the Intermediate difficulty that must share courses with Beginner Learning Paths because they all show somewhere between 10%-20% already complete.
Should I go after those 3 Intermediate Learning Paths too? Or would you say at that point, then I'm getting into a higher level certificate than the ITSM with Jira Service Management Foundations? (Cause if that's the case, maybe I just keep pushing it and get a Pro cert instead of a Associate).

Edit: I have no professional experience with Jira. Only the free tier JSM and Confluence and Statuspage products for the last week or so.

I recommend first spending some time working with JSM before pursuing these certifications. If you want to focus on ITSM certifications, there is currently the Atlassian ITSM Specialist designation, which I obtained a few months ago. Here’s the link with the details on how to achieve it: Atlassian Certified Designations.
My recommendation is to start with the Atlassian Certified Associate (ACA) certifications, and finally aim for the ACP-420, which is the most challenging one. From my experience, hands-on practice with the tool is essential. The study materials provided by Atlassian for each certification are very useful and should be reviewed carefully.
Lastly, having an ITIL certification can also be a great advantage. In my case, the ITIL Foundation 4.0 helped me a lot to better understand the key concepts.

Welcome. The associate exam is good start before going into the pro certs. Of course, you can go directly to pro certs but they are much more challenging. Even more so challenging if you haven't had much experience with the products.
I would take the sample exam questions to get a feel for it. There should be a link when checking through the exam preparation materials. If you answer all of them without issue, you are pretty much ready. However, I would also suggest spending a bit more time on the JSM application. Understanding the different capabilities and terminology used. Plus, this will set you up for Pro, the more you get familiar with JSM and its capabilities.

I appreciate you. I agree, just spending some more time in JSM rather than just following along with learning courses will help solidify many things. I believe I found what you meant by the "practice questions". I think they were in that "ITSM with Jira Service Management Foundations certification prep resources" course I found myself in. I did fairly well.
I believe I'll give myself a few days to play around with JSM/Confluence/Statuspage and the like, and give the Associate a go!
