Adding Tooltip for Custom Field on JSM Request Form

Hi everyone! 👋

I've been searching for a solution to this but haven’t had much luck, so I’m hoping someone here can help.

I'm using Jira Service Management (Data Center) version 9.12.19, and I’d like to know if it’s possible to add a tooltip (like the “?” icon) for a custom field on a request form.

I was able to add the necessary text using the “Field Help” option, and it displays correctly on the form. However, the text is fairly long, so it would be much better if it could appear in a tooltip instead of being shown directly under the field.

Is there a way to do this natively in JSM, or would it require a workaround or an app?

No there is no option to use the tooltip function, that based on the ? icon within the issue/work item view,  within a request form.
