Hi,
So since my title is a bit cryptic let me explain what I'm trying to comprehend here.
On Cloud when you do a scan with Assets Discovery, after the scan is done the Discovery uploads your results to your instance and triggers the import. (which is great)
Now, while the agentless scanning works great for devices that are always on/within the network, for end-user devices that are behind firewalls/home networks/on or off during scanning times we are looking at the Discovery Agent to provide us with the information on those assets.
This is where my brain fails at the moment. How exactly does the mechanism work when an Agent has gathered it's data?
I guess it wouldn't really differ if it were on Cloud/DC either? On DC it would just get the csv's from the import folder at regular intervals (where on Cloud it pushes the data to Cloud and triggers the import)
The documentation got a confused/leaves me with more questions than answers here so if anybody has some info on it and can explain it in a way that's perhaps a bit dumbed down I would appreciate it :)
(The documentation I've been looking at is https://confluence.atlassian.com/assetapps/assets-discovery-1168848103.html and while it has a nice diagram, it leaves out how the Agent works)
Hi @Dirk Ronsmans ,
You can Set the export Path by following these steps
192.168.2.2/discovery/import
This will set the path for agent scan Data
