We are using Jira Asset to store information of our products. Each product has a product owener (jira user). We want to give the product owners the ability to edit their Products in the Asset DB. In other words: we need to give them Write permissions to specific Jira Asset Objects based on the value of the field Product Owner. They should habe only read permission to the other products.
Is there a way how to configure this?
We are currently using Jira Data Center but the migration into the cloud is planned.
This is not possible with Jira Asset in Data Center with built-in functionality and as far as I'm aware, it is also not possible in cloud.
I built custom functionality in my jira server environment with scriptrunner to support a similar scenario. In my case it's a person/group granted permission to edit a single attribute on all objects.
I am not sure if this type of customization is possible with the cloud version of scriptrunner.
