Hi all,
I am looking to set up a rule that allows me to change the status of an issue in Service Desk, when an issue is linked.
for example:
Jira Service Desk:
A Request comes in. This requires me to link/create a task from the linking modal in MAIN which is a classic software project (Jira Software).
I then have to manually change the status to waiting for task (custom created status). - I would like to automate this step.
Hi @Aaron Mayo
So what is the problem? Does your Automation rule work or not?
A little more information is needed.
-Mike
What would you like to know?
It does not work, I can't see a way to add a custom what happens. The linked issue has transitioned isn't working.
I'm wondering if it's because the issue is on Jira software?

Hi @Aaron Mayo
Okay, Just to be 100% sure, your screenshot shows When this happens did you click Add, to add the criteria? (sorry just checking).
Have you tried an alternative (FREE) automation plugin called Automation Lite for Jira. It is a lot more powerful, has a ton of extra filters, conditions and features, and might just be the thing you need.
