I'm having an issue with the new playbook function Atlassian just introduced. When I try to create playbook and add a step with an automation rule, no automation rule is detected. When I click the "+" sign to add an automation it takes me to the Automation Rule creation page to create a new rule. When I create the rule and go back to the playbook the automation rule I created from the + sign is not detected. It's like a loop where even if I create automation rules the playbook doesn't detects it. Is there a step or a check I'm missing on my automation rule or is there a configuration with my playbook that I'm doing wrong.

Thanks in advance.

Hello @gustavo_rojasquiros ,

The playbook function only accepts automations that have a manual trigger. So that would be the first step.

I have also found that after you create the automation rule, you need to refresh the playbook page before the rule becomes selectable.

Is this something that you can work with?

Kind Regards,

Paul

Hi @gustavo_rojasquiros ,

For automation rule in the playbook step, you can only select rules where the trigger is Manual trigger from issue > as stated in the official docs:

If you choose the automation rule, you will see a list of manual regulations available.

So, simply create a new rule with a manual trigger and you should be able to select it in the playbook step.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Tobi
