How to create an automation rule to schedule comments in tasks for assignees only without notifying watchers?
If I do it like this schedule comment will receive only assignee? without watchers? If not please make a screen on how to do it for the assignee only. Thanks in advance
Welcome to the community. Please confirm if you are trying to ensure that only assignee get notified when issue is commented through your automation rule.
If so, you will need to set "Comment Visibility" in your action to "Internal only". In this way, customers will not be notified.
Hope this helps.

Yes, I want to schedule comments which will receive only assignees without watchers for each task.
I`ll try as you recommended and then answer here.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Sorry, there is no "internal only". What else could I possibly do?
Dear Joseph,
Here is my comment on the issue:
Please {{issue.assignee}} review/update and close the issue.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Can you provide a screen shot of your comment for issue action associated with your rule?
Secondly, are you adding an issue comment associated with the JSM issue?
Best, Joseph

Are you using the Comment on Issue Action in your rule? If the rule is against a JSM issue and it is a part of the your specific JSM project, then there will be the option for you to indicate if the comment is internal or public.
Take a screenshot of your Comment on Issue Action screen of your rule and not the actual comment that you provided in your update.

It looks ok. Again, in your "Comment on issue" action, can you confirm that you are not seeing the "Comment Visibility" option?
NOTE - If the rule setup is against a Jira Software project, then there is no concept of Public comment/Internal comment option. However, you can specify the visibility of the comment to different project roles. On the other hand, if the rule stetup is against a JSM project, then you will see the two options (Public comment/Internal comment) only.
Anyway, there is definitely the functionality of "Comment Visibility" in "Comment on issue" action in Automation.

Thanks, @Joseph Chung Yin for your feedback.
I sent the request to add one more position "assignee" in "Comment Visibility" because in our company there are no options such like you have "Public comment/Internal comment option".

Thanks for your update. As I stated previously, the reason why you don't see the options "Public comment/Internal comment option" is because your rule is related to the Jira Software Application project and not JSM project.
Hope all of my suggestions helped you and resolved your ask. If so, please click on "Accept answer" when you have a chance, so others with similar asks in the community will see it is answered.

Welcome to the community. Please confirm that you are trying to notify the issue assignee only while adding the comment to the issue?
If so, you will need to ensure the issue comment is "Internal only" and not "Shared with Customer", so customer are not notified.
Hope this helps.
