Can I link issue key to a field in forms?

@Nik Seibold I don't think it's possible to link the issue key since the issue key doesn't get generated until after the issue is submitted.

I had this same issue. My solution was:

1. Create a custom field and link it to a field on the form.
2. Create an automation rule that
   1. when a new issue is created matching the Issue type,
   2. re-fetch the issue data,
   3. then update my custom field to {{issue.key}}

Works like a charm :)

As in, to generate an issue key based on a form value? If yes, this isn't possible - issue keys are system generated based on the project key, and the next sequential number based on the number of issues created up to that point.

Or are you looking to do something else with this list of keys?

Hi @Ste Wright i have to these type of problem let me explain i create the form in proForms and i want to add field that will show the issue key(number of ticket) if you know can you please explain or whow how to add. Issue key should be shown while we are downloading form file like PDF. Thank you.

I have the same issue. The reason why I need the issue key on the form is because when creating a pdf, the key is not automatically shown. 

I need to have the ticket number (Key) on the printed pdf.
