Going through the menus: Projects / [Project Name] / Project settings / Summary
Within the Summary page, the Priorities are listed as follows:
Priorities are used to indicate the importance of an issue.
Scheme:
Default priority scheme
Priority 1 / Critical
Priority 2 / Urgent
Priority 3 / Normal Default
Low
Priority 5 / Lowest
On the Summary page, each Priority is hyperlinked allowing you to click on them. I've removed the hyperlinks from this post. When clicking on any Priority, I've presumed a page would load allowing me to edit the selected priority, however when the page tries to load, after a few moments the page displays the following error:
You're almost there
It looks like our database is taking a little longer than usual to sync up. Wait a few moments then try again.
If you continue to see this error, raise a support request.
It doesn't matter which Priority is selected, the same error page is displayed. I've been trying to edit the priorities to change the icon that is assigned to each priority level.
Also, alternatively I was hoping to discover a way to merely turn off the icons and in their place just have a simple priority level displayed in the column within the queue. It seems to me that at a glance it would be far easier to discern a priority level if it just stated: P1, P2, P3, P4, and so on, instead of having icons. If I see P1 displayed I don't have to process what I'm seeing, whereas the default icon for a Priority 1 is .
I'm thinking the default setting should not use icons, but display P1, P2, P3, P4, and so on. To me, the latter is far more intuitive.
Regardless, I'm at a loss about how to get past the error page after selecting one of the priorities.
Christopher,
In regards to the icons used for Priorities I can help with that. I too thought it would be difficult to quickly know the Priority of an issue based off the default Icon set. I've attached some quick icons I created in Canva, they aren't perfect but get the job done. I didn't spend much time on them and they aren't as consistent as they should be.
To change the icon navigate to System Settings --> Issues --> Priorities --> Edit each Priority --> Choose icon
Enjoy!
