Hey there, newb here,
my predecessor set up service management as a ticket-system but left. My team isn´t schooled and i know not much about jira - we need professional help to set it up efficently- i know and work on that .
Right now i am somewhat all-admin and receive hundreds of mails from "jira automation" about new tickets, updates, comments and so on - i cant work on that because my outlook is flooded.
I searched everywhere but can´t find a setting where i, as the site admin (which i guess i am) can turn off these notifications. Even from tickets am not watching i receive the notifications.
Any idea what to do to stop the flood? Thank you!
Hi @Celle
Automation acts in that case like an 'user' editing/creating an issue, therefore an email is sent if that is defined by your Notification Scheme.
There are similar discussions in Community, however with no solution:
In case you MUST stop the mails it would require to change the Notification Scheme, however this would also affect actions done by humans:
Regards,
Daniel
Hello @Celle
For stopping this email flood, you will need to disable the notifications from the automation rules.
For achieving this, navigate to: Project Settings --> Automation (available in the left menu) --> Select a rule and go to the actions (Blue colored icon) --> Uncheck the box (indicated in the screen shot)
In case there are multiple automation rules, this will need to be done for each rule individually.
