Hello there.
I am having some issues configuring the following automation
I want JIRA to open the request when user opens the related task but obviously something is wrong with this and I am not able to figure out the solution. The audit log says:
What I do not understand is why (according to the last line) user needs to perform a transition if it has to be an automation... Can anyone help me with this?
Thank you in advance.
When you review the workflow for the issue type of PRETS2AC-990 does it have a transition path from its current status to "In Progress"?
And if it does, are there any conditions on that transition that could fail?
Kind regards,
Bill
That is it, @Bill Sheboy
The transition had conditions, I removed them and now it works. Thank you so much.

The issue is that you have to change the scope of the rule.
If you transition an issue, it look at that issue all linked issues, of they are from another project, that project needs to be included onto the scope of the rule.

Thank you for your answer, but how do I change the scope of the rule?
All issues belong to the same project. All project issues are related, one is the request (the main one) and then there are tasks which are all related to the request.
