Greetings. We are in the process of enhancing our support portal and we are trying to use Assets to do so.
It's difficult to gage what you all might need to know in order to help, so let me give you an overview.
We have a Staff object schema and an Employee object type. This was deployed via the Template. I also created a IT Assets schema. I have an "Application Assets" object type and it has subtypes of Cloud, Local, and Installed. Each containing applications that we use.
On the Employee Object, I have an attribute for each type as an Outbound Reference. Essentially we are cataloging the applications that an employee has access to. My applications might be different than Joe's applications. Each is represented separately.
I created a custom field, Application.
I put this field on the Request View of the Request Type. I can select an option from the Custom Field (and the results are filtered as expected) but when I hit submit, I get an error:
I am going to have more Asset related questions I am sure, but if I can get this working then I may learn enough to help elsewhere.
We are on Jira Cloud. Premium. No real Jira experts, just me, and we don't really use any Apps.
Thanks!
The issue may have been related to the use of "currentReporter()". I changed it to "currentUser()" and it worked. Leaving this open however as I'd like to get some feedback as currentReporter() seems to be the more appropriate option. If I was entering a ticket on behalf of someone else, where I could change the Reporter to be someone else, then I'd only see my options.
