How to create a notification through Automation for a Jira Form submission?

Hi!

I am trying to formulate a way for when a user Completes a Jira Form after an issue, an automation is triggered. I have not thought of a way to this currently, would it be better through workflow functions?

Use Case: An issue is created, the Service Desk Agent adds a form to the issue so the user can fill the respective form out. When the user completes the form, a notification is triggered.

For this to work in Automation, there needs to be a trigger. Form population isn't one at present - but...

• Is there a field which is on the form, which is linked to a Jira field - and will definitely change during form submission?
• If not, could you add one? For example...
  • Create a checkbox custom field Form Submitted
  • On the form, place a form field somewhere, replicating Form Submitted - such as New Form?
  • Give both fields just one answer - Yes. Then make the field mandatory on the form, and default the answer to Yes.

The field's population will thus be the trigger, letting you use Automation to do the notification action.
