How to get Last Comment Smart Tag in Automation to display previous external comment

The following is an email that gets sent by Automation for Jira 

 

This is an automated reminder from XXXXX. There is an issue with the XX you sent it. This has been outstanding for 3 days. We have not heard back from you. Please review our response.

Previous Comment: {{issue.comments.last.body}}

https://XXXXXX.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/6/{{issue.key}}

This will auto close in 5 days with no response.

 The problem I have encountered is it is showing the most recent comment (which happens to be an internal only comment). 

 

I need the comment to be the most recent external comment. What is the smart value for the external comment?

Hey there Jeffrey,

Unfortunately this isn't possible at the moment - you can't really filter / conditionally get  from the list. I've added a link to https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/browse/AUT-1241 so we can track it as another request for it.
