Hello, I would like to build a asset dashboard using the Assets Dashboard Grid that would show me how many Licensed Jira Users I have. I wanted to confirm and ensure I am thinking about this correctly.
Do we need to purchase Asset IT to do this? I also have the gadgets. But I am trying to figure out how to pull this type of data into a dashboard and create filters and schemas to provide this information for me? We want to be able to manage all users as they gain access to Jira and Confluence and track who has a license and who does not. I know I can see this in the Admin module under managed users. But we would like to create a simplied visual of this in a dashboard. Please advise
Welcome.
This can't be shown on a dashboard, not even with an app or Assets that comes with a premium subscription
This information is with Atlassian Administration, as you mentioned.
I only want to be able to view licensing of users. Not really manage the users. I would like to create a dashboard that shows me assigned licensing. So you are saying this is not possible to pull this information into a dashboard? Thank you

You can set this up in assets, but then you are making a shadow list and you need to maintain it.
Information from within Atlassian Administration (Guard) is not retrievable within Jira itself

Hi, @Lauren Morris
The visual information you can get on assets is a bit limited. Some apps in the marketplace may help you show this information in a dashboard, like Mindpro Graphy. The app allows the creation of internal dashboards with easy-to-use asset gadgets. The internal dashboards are interactive, so you can drill down your data by clicking on a slice/portion of the charts. The app also has the asset gadgets available for Jira Native dashboards, if you prefer.
You can select object schemas and types to add to the gadgets and customize colors, as per your preference.
I hope this helps. Please, get in touch in case you want more information.
Regards,
Eduardo.
