I'm trying to create an automation where new created issues automatically link to old issues

Good afternoon, 

Can anyone confirm if it's possible to link a new job to an old one based on matching email addresses? Specifically, if the applicant's email in the new job matches the respondent's email from the old job, will this create the desired link? Or would it work if 'Email' matches any other relevant fields (and vice versa)

I want to just do matching email but I don't want it to match reporter email, I want it to match emails put into custom fields I've created like "Applicant's email" and "Landlord contact email" and "Tenant contact email" and "Email"

Hi Daniel, 

This should be possible by using the Lookup issues action, then branch on {{lookupIssues}} to link each to the trigger issue!

Sorry - you could of course directly branch on your JQL (use the related issues branch option) :)
