In Insight can I have a friendly name for an object? Seeing Serial Numbers isn't visually helpful.

Hello,

Currently in Insight we are logging PCs for example. The serial number is the label as this is the only consistently unique field. This is fine but it isn't very visually friendly when looking in detail view and when viewing Graphs the serial number isn't visually very useful. 

I was wondering if there is a way to display a different attribute as the title of an object or if you could combine attributes into a text field or something so it just visually looks better. 

I also don't understand why the Key cannot be the label or be displayed as the name of the object. This would be better..

Make whichever attribute you want be your label. The attribute will need to be required and be a text field.

Your serial number can continue to be a unique and required attribute, but now all of your drop downs will show your other friendlier attribute as the label.
