Is there a way to turn off email notifications for certain status changes for certain users?

Is there a way to turn off email notifications for certain status changes for certain users within the same project?

A couple of different clients use the service desk and some do not want to get emails for certain status changes - is there a way to turn certain emails off for one customer?

I already saw you cannot have more than one notification scheme per project...

please let me know, thanks !

Hi Jennifer,

Go into the Request Type - Workflow Statuses.  If you make the Status Naem to show the customer the same name for different statuses then notifications won't happen.

For example statuses In Progress, With Operations and In Development we call them all "In Progress" for the customer.  We move them around so we know where it is but the client isn't aware and doesn't receive any notifications.

Hope that helps

Susan

@Jennifer Volpe

With the default JIRA it is not possible.

This may be possible with a combination of add-ons like scriptrunner and email this issue.

For service desk, map the statuses you don’t want to notify people on with similar ones (e.g Map In Progress, In Development, e.t.c to Waiting for support) status.

This change would impact all customers though.
