Issue transition triggers transition on related issue

Dear Community

I come to you with the following use Case:

Issue Type: The story, progressed through the workflow to a certain status "Ready for QA", which triggers the automation to create a related issue "QA Task".

QA Task is set to status "To do".

Is it possible when an issue "QA Task" is transitioned to the status "QA In Progress", it will also transition to the Related issue from which it was triggered to "QA In Progress"?

Looking forward to hearing your opinions on that, and maybe suggestions on how it can be approached!

Hi @Adrian Szubert 

Yes this can be done, but the status "QA In Progress" has to exist the workflow associated with the issue type Story.

Example rule, replace the values with your own.
