Hi everyone!
Please, help me to figure out this. Does Jira Service Desk have any ability to create a ticket from Facebook Messages and posts, as well as a Twitter account?
Probably some add-ins? Unfortunately, I found nothing about this. Can somebody help with this?
Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
I've searched for add-ons or a way to integrate Facebook/Twitter to open tickets, but I didn't find anything that could help us.
Currently, you can open tickets through Jira (+ button), Customer Portal, Email, API, but there is no integration that can make a message on messenger, for example, to create a ticket.
Please, feel free to create a feature request on https://jira.atlassian.com adding more details and information about why this integration would be important.
Regards,
Angélica
We need to create issues from twitter & Facebook for Data Center:
Current options seems to be:
A. Twitter:
i. Server/Data Center: Marketplace app - Twitter Connector for Jira
ii. Cloud: - integration code example (API Dev skills required) - Creating Jira Service Desk requests from Twitter
B. Facebook:
No apps or documentation (unless ii above can be used to build the integration).

This is a bit of an old threat but found several for-pay integrations (third party service). I did find a free and self-hosted sample integration on https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/service-desk/creating-jira-service-desk-requests-from-twitter/ if you are confident in running node.js applications.
Ideally, this would be included standard in the ServiceDesk application but unfortunately, this is not the case.
I am still looking for integration with Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, WhatsApp so if any of you have any ideas, please let me know!

I was also trying out the same link but facing dependency issues. Let me know if you get something working.

I gave up on it for now. No integration with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram. I really like Service Desk but integrations like these really should be a few clicks away and not require custom software or for-pay third party services as this is a much-requested feature.

You could try Fresh Desk which is great with integration with Social Networks.

The reason why we use Service Desk is because of the integration with JIRA. This is what our devs use. Having no integration with FB, Twitter, etc. does not bother the devs but is super annoying for marketing. Because many users also report bugs and errors over Facebook nowadays, I really think Atlassian should make a bit of effort and include this in their (relatively high priced) Service Desk product. I gave up for now as this issue has been open for years and using third party services is out of the question because of security concerns.

Jira Service Desk comes with an API (Server has both REST and Java, Cloud has REST) that can be utilised to integrate with social platforms and/or other tools such as MS Teams.
