I'm trying to implement the workflow transition feature where customers can basically mark an issue as resolved from the customer portal.
Apparently I'm supposed to click the pencil icon next to the workflow but no such icon exists. Currently I'm only using the 2 default workflows and I am only a project admin so Im not too sure if these are a factor.
Any suggestions?

To edit workflows you would need to have the JIRA Administrators permission, as workflows falls under Global Permissions.
As project administrator you can make changes to the project only.
