We have a particular need for our triage team to categorise tickets from the agents view.
Is there a way to add a custom field as a context field for request types so it appears on the right hand side of the ticket in 'Details' panel.

Do you mean to have a custom field with a different context depending on the selected Request Type? By default, it is not possible. Context can be set based on Issue Types.
