Hi there,

Is there a way to save AQL searches that have been used in Assets.  I am looking at basically being able to run a search on demand for assets that have a warranty expiry in the next 30 days or so from the date of running the search.

I know I could save the string and then enter that into Assets window and run a search, just curious to see if there is a way to build up a suite searches that can be run on demand.

Couldn't see anything so just checking in.

Thank you.

Hi @Ste404

Unfortunately, from what I see, you can't. There's no way to create save "filters" like you can do in JSM.

I was wondering how to create something like this and one way I can see right now would be to create service requests in the portal without any fields in it (except for the summary). These request types could be named based on the AQL search they are associated to, then trigger an automation rule that would execute your AQL searches and send the result in an email to the reporter of the request.

The other way would be to create an scheduled automation rule that would execute at a predefined date.

Have a nice day.
