Hello
We are using at a Service Management Project an aproval workflow. Everything works fine exept, when you get the notification mail the content what should be aproved is missing.
It would be cool to have the possibility to add as mininmum the Request Type to the content of the Email.
As a standard in SDM complaince is setup that some informations are displayed as ... and not visible in the notification email.
is it possible to add somehow the request type to the notification template?
We almost always use automation rules to send emails. Since it's an html template that you need to create it can be tailored to your company visual identity.
We support this in Notification Assistant for Jira where you can design any template you want and place the Approval field into it so the user can approve it the same as they would an out of the box notification but now with added info.

The default approval notification doesn’t support sending the request type as there is no variable (to my knowledge) built into Jira for this.
Hence my suggestion here is to directly raise a feature request at jira.atlassian.com
There may be a few email related addons in the marketplace that offer this hence I’ll suggest giving this a look at as well.
Regards
