Is there a way in JIRA by which we can limit the number of hours logged per day by any user? Current people are able to log even more than 24h on a single day, which create problems with the dashboards, and which is unrealistic. I would prefer the hours logging in a particular day to be limited to 12h
Hi @mummareddy supriya ,
Unfortunately, Jira currently lacks a built-in function for restricting the number of hours a user can log in a day. Essentially, this means that a user can log work against issues without any limitations on the total time per day. The assumption behind this is that users will accurately log their work and that their managers or team leads will subsequently review and approve these time logs.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to implement anything from the application side on what you are asking.
The only way (based on my experiences) is through user educations on how to properly log works against the issues properly.
Hope this also helps.
