While working on creating additional Request Types for a Change Request Issue I noticed that I am missing a custom field called "MaintenanceStartTime" in my SLA section.
When I go to search for the custom field in the side bar, there are no results. Instead, what I have noticed is that the field is now present on the "Request Form" section. I am trying to determine what happened that caused the field to get added on that section as well as how to get it moved back to the "Issue View".
Currently when I view "Request Form" I do not have any options to move this field.
Any ideas would be greatly welcomed.
It could be that someone moved it from the issue view to the request form. Once a field is on the request form you will not find it when searching for it on the issue view, but all fields listed in the request form will be present on the issue view.
If you want to move it from the request form to just be on the issue view, go to the request form, remove the field and go back to the issue view and it should show up when you search on it.
Hello Mikael,
When I attempt to remove the field on the form, I get an error message saying:
"You Can't Remove this field.
Jira Service Maintenance Created this field. You can't remove it from "Normal Change" requests "

Do you have an app that added the Maintenance Start Time? That would be my guess and if that is the case then there is not much you can do if that app needs to have the field on the request form. you will still see the field on the issue view once the request is created.
The only other thing that I can think of if you really want to remove it from the request form would be to go to the issue screen and remove the field from there, you should then be able to go back and add it to the issue view for the request type.

This was a custom field created by another one of my coworkers which is where the confusion comes in with this error. I'll see about removing it from the issue screen and then adding it back.
I removed it from the View Issue Screen and then added it back. It still looks to be in the form and unable to remove. I am scratching my head on what would have moved it to the forms as I previously had it on the Issue View.

Hmmm, the only thing that comes to mind wound be an app that is doing it, based on the error message that you get when trying to remove it...
Maybe try and create a new test request type and see if the same thing happens with it?

You may need to check the issue type Scheme and make sure its associated there

I forgot to include that I had previously verified it was in the scheme.

Hey John,
That actually looks like the request type issue view. This is the SLA page I am referring to:
You can find this under the Project settings in the SLA tab. This is where SLAs are configured based on fields.
If I am not correctly interpreting what you are asking for, please let me know !

I don't believe SLA will be applicable since the "MaintenanceStartTime" is a custom field not used by SLAs. When the user creates a Change Request here is where they fill out this field.
From there when I view the request in Jira, the field is not present. I'd like to have it listed right above the "MaintenanceEndTime". When I go to configure the field views for this, I notice that "MaintenanceStartTime" is not listed as an available field to add.
