Hi Team,
We are a small team and are using Jira. On average we have less than 10 active users, but always more than 3. Now we would like to integrate Jira with Jira Service Management, which is free for up to 3 users.
My question is, is it possible to use free Jira Service Management (=< 3 users) and integrate it into a paid Jira? What I would like to achieve is that the tickets that are entered into JSM are then duplicated in Jira (and linked). In this case, more than 3 users would be able to communicate on Jira tickets, linked to JSM tickets, but only 3 users would have access directly to the JSM portal.
Does that work?
Thank you for your help and cheers,
Dusan
Hi Dusan - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Sure, you can do that - JSM can be free, and you can integrate it with a project for a paid Jira account.
You would create an automation rule that executes on an Issue Created in the JSM project, add any conditions needed, then add an action for Create Issue. Select the Jira project and Issue type and any other fields. Or you can do an action for Clone Issue, select the Jira project and Issue type. Just make sure all of the fields in the JSM project are available in the Jira project. I would use a Company-managed project for both types of projects.
Hi John, thanks for the welcome and prompt reply! I'll try to do as you asked and will accept your answer when I am successful.
