Is there a way to clear Approvals in JIRA (Cloud) Service Management

I need to reset the clear the approvals from within the workflow and start the issue over when a certain transition "Reset" is executed.   I tried clearing field "Approvals" which did not work.  I see the approval in the comments.  How can I do this?

You will need to adjust your workflow so you can transition back to the approval status.  You will need a post function on the transition to clear the approvers.  Additional information can be found on this feature request under the workaround.   https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-5039

Actually, I found i could reset if i set transition to go back to original approval transition.  I guess the issue is that it still shows approved in the comment and there is no way to clear it.  Also there is no other area to show who has approved after all approvers have approved other than the comments.  The Approvals field does not display on the screen even tho it is a context field and I doubt it has a value.  Not sure if the values of approvals are stored.  It may be just a comment placed at the time.  Really wondering how this works under the covers.  Thanks. for replying.
