Hello,

How can I remove Request Type from my sub task details pane? The current detail fields are Assignee, Reporter, Request Type, Priority. All are populated except Request Type. Is there a way for me to remove this/populate field?

So the use of sub-tasks is sort of rare in JSM but can certainly be used. With that said, Request type is a basic component of JSM issues. Why do you want this removed? what is your goal? Maybe you wish to have the RT inherit from parent? You could use Automation and use the Edit Request type action. I think you can copy from parent but have not tried.

Thank you @Jack Brickey , I opted to use subtasks as a “work around” because I have a case where based on a number provided by a customer on a request, that number determines how many agents need to work on a task. The provided number defines the number of subtasks. The request type is defined on the parent request and is provided by the customer and in this case will appear on IAR-78. The subtask request type value will never have a value. You are correct, if I cannot get rid of it can I at least copy the value from the parent task?
