As of this morning, any time I try to manually trigger an automation rule, the rule just doesn't run. No record in the audit log of the rule trying to run. I've checked the permissions and the setup - this has literally been working for months and now suddenly, I can't get any of these rules to run. Any suggestions?
This applies to multiple automation rules...none of them seem to be working.
Hi all,
Daniel from Atlassian Support here. Earlier today we experienced an incident across multiple Atlassian Cloud systems operating out of the AWS us-east-1 region. This affected multiple cloud-based service providers across the tech industry, so I mention this for your awareness in case you use other services that were not responding normally during this timeframe.
Atlassian's monitoring of this incident shows it is currently in recovery, and we expect services including Jira Automation to begin acting normally again. You can subscribe to the incident on our public status page for updates. Thanks to everyone who linked to Statuspage already in previous answers!
Cheers,
Daniel | Atlassian Support

@Daniel Eads Thanks for the update. The linked public status page says that the issue has been resolved and the service is operating normally. However the automation is still not triggering on my project.

@Daniel Eads you mentioned that you expected services including Jira Automation to begin acting normally again, but it seems to be the only thing on the list (on the status page) that still isn't working. Is there an ETA on this? We're getting pretty backed up after a full day of work.
Thanks!

@Daniel Eads The same issue for me, Issue Transitioned trigger not working for two days (without any errors, just not triggered)

Hi all, sorry for the late follow-up. Automation for Jira experienced a longer return-to-normal time than other services after the end of the AWS outage. We did track this as a separate incident on the Statuspage (specific link to that incident here ). My apologies for not linking directly to the main Statuspage in my initial reply, as I'm sure it caused some confusion to see the main incident resolved while Automation was still not fully back up. At any rate, the service is back up fully now. If you need help with anything related to rules that may have had errors on Tuesday, please reach out to us at https://support.atlassian.com/contact . Thanks!

I've been having same issue today. I created my first rules yesterday and they were triggering just fine. Today, nothing is triggering and the audit logs only show the configuration changes that I've been making to try and get the rules to work.

I think we're suffering from AWS issues in general so that might be the root cause

Same thing for me, this site says it's operational but also says they're facing intermittent issues:

Looks like this is related to the AWS outage currently in progress
