Hello!
Is there a way to work around the issue of sharing sub-tasks with individuals who are not part of my Service Desk project?
I've set up an automation that generates new sub-tasks for specific tickets automatically. However, since they are created automatically, they always display as being generated "via Jira". For this reason, I do not have a portal link that I can share, similar to the link generated when an issue is raised "via Portal". Additionally, I can't add participants, as they are unable to access these sub-tasks.
I understand that sub-tasks are generated on the backend and not designed for sharing. However, I truly need an alternative method for creating new tickets automatically, ones that are linked to the main ticket and can be shared with others either by adding them as participants or by having a link that can be shared.
I don't think there is a workaround to show sub-tasks in the portal. As you mentioned, sub-tasks are intended for internal use, hence they aren't shareable in the portal.
They don't necessarily have to be sub-tasks - any issue type is completely fine as long as they can be shared. :)
