One of my users who has been using the platform for months, is suddenly unable to access their tickets in JIRA. When I look their details in the users, JIRA has their contacts listed, but when I click on their profile JIRA tells me that I've reached a deadend and there's no listing.
Seeking advice on how to troubleshoot the problem and solution. Specifically
- it sounds that they've been de-activated somehow, but I don't have admin privileges to see how
- if i re-add them as a customer, will they still have access to old tickets?

Do you have admin access to your organixation? If yes, you can check the changelog of that specfic customer in the system log at admin.atlassian.com.
You can also check, under Settings > User Management of your instance if the user is deactivated and force it to enabled back again.
