We would like to use OKTA for customer login process for our JSM help desk portal access. Is this possible to do with domain restriction only, or is Atlassian access required for all customer accounts? Do these customers need JSM on their OKTA account?
Are there other SAML SSO options like a microsoft account?
We would prefer to have our help desk more secure than simple email/password combo as the knowledge base contains confidential information.
Hello,
You will need Atlassian Access licenses for configuring Okta or Microsoft SSO, for ANY user that needs to use SAML SSO.
I hope this helps
Thanks, found out that even though Access is required, it is not billable for users that only have access as JSM customers. This satisfies our need.
Thanks.

We have got a solution, SSO Integration with Helpdesks which can possibly cater to your requirements. As @Heather Ronnebeck mentioned, you have to use Atlassian access for JIRA agents but for customers, I think our solution will get you a workaround!
Just check it out once and feel free to let us know if this works for you!
