Using search macros in Jira Service Management Knowledge Base

We have a Knowledge base connected to our Jira Service Desk which is created in Confluence.

We have Customers (ie. non-licensed Confluence users) who can access the service desk and the knowledgebase, however none of the search macros enable them to search the site.

Any advice how this problem can be fixed.

It is a major headache for us.

Hi @Paul Jones 

Currently unlicensed users are not able to perform a search, so this is an expected behavior and there's no fix as of now. You can refer bug raised about this - Livesearch macro returns Not Permitted when Unlicensed Access searching 

Also there's a suggestion raised with Atlassian Unlicensed Users from Service Desk Have Limited Functions to allow unlicensed users to use search functions. I would suggest you to vote for it and start watching it for further updates.
