Hi! I have created 2 JSM projects for my team, but I will be leaving soon to another company. I am the Jira Admin and owner of both projects. I am also creator and owner of several automations for the projects.
My user is linked to my company's email, so my question is what will happen with both projects and automations once I leave the company, since they tend to delete emails and users from ex workers.
Nothing.
Assuming they do the right thing and just flag your account as "not active", then it just means they'll see (inactive user) next to <your name> on stuff. If they do it wrong and delete the account completely, then it'll change to <your login id> (unknown user).
Nothing will stop working, unless you've coded your automation to act as you rather than the generic "automation user". I'd suggest you change that if you have done it, before you leave. Other than personal automations, nothing will change behaviour, and other admins will be able to administrate everything you leave behind.
(If you're also a Confluence user, then I'd strongly recommend a quick review of your personal space - move pages that the organisation might want to keep out into company spaces. Deleting a Confluence user removes their personal space)
