When sending email from IBM i to a distribution list that contains five members we all receive five Opsgenie emails. If you open up each email it shows one for each team member. All team members on the IBM i have unique Opsgenie email addresses assigned. Any help to just send the email to the individual address in the team would be helpful.
Welcome to the community. It seems this is an integration between Opsgenie with IBM i applications and it is not out of the box with Opsgenie, so you will need to contact the IBM i vendor directly for technical assistance.
Please provide more details on the configuration side, so we can better assist you.
Best, Joseph Chung Yin
Hello Joseph;
I believe I may have figured out the issue from the IBM i side. To send the email to Opsgenie it is sent via an SMTP route. Each user is set up with a unique address on the IBM i and in Jira. My question to you is, the users in Opsgenie are part of a team can they all use one email address to receive the alerts from the IBM i. Please let me know your thoughts. The IBM i SMTP user ID is limited to 24 characters which does not allow for the Opsgenie email address. Listed below is my Opsgenie email address.
