JQL expression with custom field issue

Hi!

I'm trying to automate and update the Summary field to reflect a select list field choice.

Below is my expression however I believe there's an issue due to the field name.

Field name:   Client List | CID

Now when I remove the bar "|" and update the field name to use "and" the expression works. I would prefer to use the expression with the bar |

{{issue.summary}} - {{issue.Client List | CID.value}} did not work

{{issue.summary}} - {{issue.Client List and CID.value}} worked

Unfortunately, the character: |  is used to denote a default value for the smart value in Jira Automation.

Please note that you can also refer the custom field with another name, through its ID, like:

 {{issue.fields.customfield_10020}}
