I have an issue after update jira Sm to version 10.3.. When an assignee wants to insert a screenshot in a comment, at first there appear am upload-dialog. After confirming the page reloads. The image is uploaded and the comment ist empty.
Has anyboday the same issue?
Before the update the users can simple add a screenshot to a comment.

thanks for your support. I opend an issue and atlassianf fond a solution. It was the mode of the editor (visuell/text).

Hello,

Try clearing your browser cache or testing in an incognito window to rule out local caching issues. It helped me.

If the problem persists, check if any third-party browser extensions (especially security-related ones) are interfering with the upload process. Also, see if this happens for all users or just specific ones, sometimes permissions might have been altered after an update.

Hello Mary,
thanks for your support. We have tried it with cleaing the browser cache. But it does no help. The problem have a few user. It seems to be smoething with the browser and new version of jira sm.
Here is what the users do:

  • begin to write a comment
  • then the using the snipping tool for a screenshot
  • they copy the screenshot (using the context-menu from snipping tool)
  • after this they want to insert the image with keyboad (ctrl+v)
  • an upload dialog appears

  • after confirming the page reloads and teh comment is empty

In the  former Version this do not happen.

This issue is likely related to changes in how image uploads work in the new Jira SM version. Since only some users are affected, try the following:

1. Test a different browser. If the issue occurs only in one browser, try updating or resetting it.
2. Disable extensions. Especially those related to security or content modification.
3. Use the upload button instead of Ctrl+V. Try manually uploading the file through the upload dialog.
4. Check permissions in Jira. Some users might lack the necessary permissions, causing the comment to reset after inserting an image.

If the issue persists, consider updating Jira to the latest version.
